How to Play

Starting: Press “Start Wave” to begin. Enemies follow the path toward your Heart Crystal. You start with 20 Gold to spend.

Defending: Use “Buy Defender” to place a random defender in an empty slot. Each summon costs Gold (price rises with wave count).

Merging: Drag and drop two identical defenders to merge them into a higher tier. Max tier is Tier 14.

Combat: Defenders automatically attack nearby enemies. Different types and tiers have unique projectiles. If an enemy reaches your Heart Crystal, it’s Game Over.

Wave Progression: Each wave summons more and more enemies. You must manually start each wave.

Losing: Only one life - if the Heart Crystal is hit, the game ends.

If you kill the first enemy before any others have appeared on the screen it triggers the round end sound and the cost of towers goes up immediately.
Is the final merge meant to be that they disappear?
So far that is a bug we have not been able to fix in time for the submission. If u mean final merge as in final tower tier, the max is tier 14 at which point merging stops.
Fun little game! It was great to combine towers and see what the next one was. However, the cost per tower quickly outran the income from each round, and since cost per tower increases every round, incomes never caught up. I found by the mid 20's I was never going to be able to afford a new tower. Highest I got was round 34 and biggest combination was the bigger waretree
I do acknowledge the absurdity of the cost increase, it was a way to hinder the player and to balance out the fact that the random towers you can buy persists throughout runs. We did lack the time to fully playtest and balance. Will update the game after the gamejam restriction period :)
